Where to start? As this is meant to be about me a brief introduction would probably be in order. My name is Michael Stringer, I am a 29 year old Software Engineer living on the edge of the Peak District in the UK.
I’m currently working a Software Engineer for a company called Yuuguu – yeah we know that the name isn’t the greatest and is a nightmare to explain how to spell! Our main product is a nifty collaboration tool that makes screen sharing really easy. One of the things that helps make Yuuguu unique is the way that it is developed – all the developers work from home and use the product to collaborate. This means that many of the annoying bugs and niggles get fixed quickly as they get in the way of our day to day work.
Outside of work my hobbies include tinkering with computers, photography and canoeing & kayaking.
Music wise I tend listen to a wide range of rock music from symphonic metal through punk rock to thrash & heavy metal and out to some death/black metal. Each year I try to make it to at least one festival to get my yearly intake of warm beer, mud and live music.
That’s enough of me rambling on about myself. I hope that you find my blog interesting, informative and entertaining.
